Rapid-Fire Testing
The tester was specificallt designed for Rapid-Fire testing, in
that the test results are displayed on the screen almost as rapidly as
the connection to the tester is made (less than 1-second). The operator
does not need to interact with the tester in order to recieve test
results (unless the test fails and requires additional information for
troubleshooting purposes).
As soon as a cable is connected to the tester, the tester automatically
identifies the cable type and performs the logic testing and displays
the results on the color screen. The results are color coded so the
operator doesn't even need to stop and read the results to know whether
the cable has passed or failed the test. If the test passed, he can
instantly move on to the next cable.
The tester also identifies when a cable has been removed, and clears
the pervious result to prepare for the next test. An entire inventory
of distribution equipement can be inspected rapidly without any
interaction from the technician aside from seeing the results on the
screen.
